The length effected will be from Pirbright Bridge- Hermitage Road. Please could you let students know of this closure. I will let you know once this work has been completed.

Welcome Back

A big thank you to everyone for being so cooperative yesterday when you arrived to find everything organised so differently. It was lovely to see so many happy faces returning to school this week.

The children look very smart in their uniforms. Thank you.

We have lots of events planned for the coming year. A dates list for this term will be sent out next week. On the back of the dates list will be a short explanation of the events to help new parents. It was very strange walking around the school because the children were so quiet.

Values

As you know everyone at the Oaktree follows;

The Oaktree Way'

to care for Everyone

and Everything.

During our INSET day on Wednesday we decided which values we feel are important for our children to learn. We then tried to order the values we identified but it was very difficult.

To help the children understand the values that we feel are important we are focusing upon a different value each month.

This month we are looking at 'HAPPINESS'. We will be exploring happiness and asking questions such as; What makes us happy? How can we make ourselves happy? How do our moods effects others? How can we make someone else happy?

Hopefully your children will be trying to make you happy over the next month.

Fruit and Vegetable Scheme

We will be continuing to provide the children with a piece of fruit each day under the government 5 a day initiative. The children enjoy eating fruit with their friends. If you would still like to send in fruit for playtime you may. The more fruit the better!

PE - PLEASE REMEMBER EVERY CHILD NEEDS TO BRING PE BAGS IN ON MONDAY AND TAKE THEM HOME ON FRIDAY.

Thank You
