Helpers' Celebration

The children worked so hard for their Helpers' Celebration. It was lovely to hear the singing and see the children serving drinks and biscuits.

We would like to THANK everyone who has helped us in school this year. It does make all the difference to have support from the whole school community.

Once again we reach the end of another very busy year. We are sadly saying goodbye to our Year 2 children and wish them all well. We are also saying goodbye to Mrs Puzas who will be joining her new school in Wokingham. We will be very sad to say good bye to Mrs Murphy today but we know that she will be a great Deputy Head. We wish them all the best for the future.

Miss Bullock will be getting married during the summer break and will be returning in September as Mrs Odam. I am sure that you will all join us in wishing them both 'Good Wishes' .

It has been a pleasure to watch the children grow in confidence and to enjoy their learning so much this year.

Thank you to everyone for the support that you have given to the school this year it really has made all the difference.

We wish everyone a very good holiday and look forward to seeing all Reception and Year 1 children returning to school in September refreshed for another exciting year.

SWINE FLU

If there should be a problem with opening the school in September we will put notices on the web site.

Walking Bus

A huge thank you to Mrs Rayner and Mrs Dunn who have organised the walking bus this term. We also need to thank Mrs Street, Mrs Christie, Mrs Hughes and Mrs Purchase. They have valiantly walked with the children through rain and sun. Well Done to you all!

FIVE-A-SIDE FOOTBALL

Our football tournament has raised £500 towards the new eco classroom 'eco lighting system'. Well done for all who collected sponsorship money.

It has been 4 years of winning achievement and no losers. With the total money raised, not only have we been able to buy all the winning trophies and medals we have also been able to invest in our interactive ICT screens, school post boxes, hall sound computer, software and speakers, Lilly the Bus and our new fantastic Wind Turbine which shows the children how a windy day can be used to make electricity. The difference all these projects have made to your children learning experience is enormous.

This year it was really hard to get people to help with this event and we are grateful to the one or two parents who helped. The school puts the 5-a-side event on as a fun way to raise extra funds for the school so we can purchase items outside the government remits. Unless we can get more help next year it looks as though this year will be the final 5-a-side football event before we get sent off with a red card. The final whistle has blown leaving 4 wonderful years of great memories for the children to look back on.

Next year we can all sit back, put our feet up and be proud of our achievements. Well done.

Ryan Beavis (Robin), Theo White (Woodpecker) and Cheyenne Boot (Rabbit) were presented with a trophy as they had raised the most sponsor money in their year group.
