| Reception Sounds and key words for the coming week We shall be revising all the sounds and key words learnt so far. These are the key words: I, the, to, was, he, she, we, said, you, are, all, they. We shall be continuing our assessment of phonic work covered in Big Cat Phonics. Yellow Hat (what we liked this week) Making jelly and eating it (Science- We predicted how it would change when we added boiling water to the halal crystals and cubes.) Listening to our fairy tales that we are performing in the school pantomime Role playing buying items in the Christmas shop Learning to recognise the different coins and to add together two items under 10p Listening to the Christmas Story (nativity) and using the interactive whiteboard to create a nativity scene Learning 'Away in a Manger1 ready for our Christmas Carol service Help from you Please help your child to look for more 'runny' materials for our investigation table e.g. bubble bath in a transparent, sealed, plastic container. Please contact the Link Mums if you are able to help with any of our Christmas activities. Please provide warm hats and gloves (named) to keep your children warm while they are playing in the outdoor classroom and playground. Please, please label all coats with your child's name.
