I have never been to oaktree,
But it sounds like its really fun i'm in year 6
and i have a little sister and little brother who goes to this school.
Their names are Destiny (Owls) and Billy (Magpies),
They really enjoy school and they'd like to say HI and they love their new classes! :).

Hello to everyone at the Oaktree School,
When I came here it was called the Hermitage First School and I left in 1993 to go up to the middle school. I came along to the 40th anniversary celebration in the Acorn Centre, which used to be the courtyard! Just wanted to let you know I really enjoyed coming back, looking my old classrooms and it was such a treat to see my first ever teacher, Mrs Davenport and also Miss Chasemore who was such a brilliant head teacher, she was unique in the way she entertained all the children. I loved my time at the school and had lots of fun and by the looks of it the staff are still keeping up the good work! Another highlight was seeing Teddy Hermitage! What a treat! Yesterday, we had ice skating in the playground. I kept falling over but I didn't hurt myself. I enjoyed it so much that I did 2 hours, and would love to do it again. Thank you to HOPA for organising this event.

It is lovely to hear from so many of our friends who have left the school. We really enjoy hearing all your news. Tonight we have been ice skating in the playground it was lots of fun although I think there may be a few sore parts of the body tomorrow. Hello everyone at Oaktree School. I miss you lots. I love living in Bournemouth.My new school is right by the seaside. I have a lovely teacher called Mrs Fry, she is as lovely as Miss Hogg and she wears glasses like me. My head teacher is a man called Mr Kennedy, he is very kind and funny. I have made some great new friends and we did a special assembly last week about The Ugly Duckling and I was one of the mean ducklings! I had lines to learn and I got to speak into a microphone. I didnt want to be mean as the Ugly Duckling was played by my special friend Molly, but it was just acting luckily! My family got to come and watch. Last week I got a special certificate during Assembly for settling in so well and being a kind helper and member of the class. I was very pleased. I miss everyone at Oaktree a lot, especially Miss Hogg and Fox class. I wish I had been able to come to All Aboard Day although Gemma Saetta told me there were maggots in the food. We are doing a big project about Pirates here and have made a huge pirate map for our classroom and a Jolly Roger flag each. I have also joined the Art Club after school and learnt how to sew cross stitch. I hope you are all having a lovely Half Term, mine is next week! I liked the christmas craft day. I had a fantastic time. We did candles, snowflakes, lanterns, christmas trees, plate mats, christmas cards and party hats.

I left Rabbit Class 3 weeks ago. On my first day in my new school everyone wanted to help me and I had not even been there 2 weeks yet and I already have an invitation to a party. I miss you very, very, very much.

On my eighth day at my new school I went on a school trip. I got there on a double decker bus and my class were at the top of the double decker bus. We went to Brooklands Museum and I rode a Penny Farthin and I got to take £1.50 to spend in the shop.

The work is much harder than before and now I have started learning money sums. A one pound coin is a hundred square. A 10p coin is a ten stick. A 1p coin is a one dot and money sums are very tricky.

I like being in OWL Class. Miss Bullock is a fantastic teacher she teaches us lots of tricky things and lots of things on the computer and she wears nice clothes. my friends are Summer and Helena.

I like Fox class. I like Miss Hogg she is a very nice teacher. I wanted to be in Fox
class.

Its been five years since I've been to the Oaktree, it has changed quite a bit. The Acorn Centre looks really good. My favourite helper was Mrs Noble, because she called me Petey weaty my little sweety.

I left the Oaktree in... 1995 I think! Miss Chasemore was still in charge back then, and Mrs Duhig was headmistress at the Hermitage! Amazing to see the website and everything that's going on at the Oaktree at the moment. Got my A2s coming up this year - hoping for some success but of course not forgetting Mrs Davenport, Mrs Pill and Mrs Campbell, not to forget Mrs Sweeting and Miss Hardy at the Hermitage. Enjoy your time at the Oaktree - it's great!
